Background:
Yong Cho grew up in Los Angeles from 1976 to the present. Similarly, his father is also a general contractor. Yong studied at UC Irvine with a major in Electrical Engineering. Then in his third year, he changed to Civil and then to Physics. Finally, he graduated with a B.A. in Anthropology. He went on to serve in the US Army for three years as a mechanic. Then he worked 2 years at a Corporate office in Healthnet in IT department as Programmer Analyst. An interesting turn of events led him to join the seminary at St. John's in Camarillo. Just before ordination, another set of events led him to the married life. He received an M.A. in Theology. He taught a World Religion course at a catholic high school. Not feeling suited to teaching, he left and entered the construction industry. He worked for a general contracting company for a few years before starting his own business in plumbing and remodeling. Yong lives in Cerritos, CA with is wife and three children. He attends St. Raphael Korean Catholic Center and volunteers as a Sunday school teacher.
